Legal Documentation

License

Chauffeur Booking is dual-natured: GPL-3 source code that you're free to modify and extend, plus proprietary marketing assets and documentation. This page explains the line.

1. What's licensed under GPL-3

  • All PHP, JavaScript, and CSS source code inside the plugin ZIP.
  • You may modify, redistribute, and fork under the terms of the GNU General Public License version 3 or later.
  • This is the same license WordPress itself uses — every WP plugin distributed on .org or CodeCanyon must be GPL-compatible.

2. What's proprietary

  • The marketing copy on chauffeur.sequentalogix.com (this site).
  • The full documentation hosted at /docs/.
  • Screenshots, brand assets, icons, and the Terra design system.
  • The CodeCanyon listing copy and preview images.

3. What this means in practice

  • You can change anything in the plugin codebase. White-label it, extend it, remove our branding.
  • You can use the plugin commercially without restriction beyond the Envato license you purchased.
  • You cannot re-list the plugin as a competing product on CodeCanyon.
  • You cannot republish our marketing copy, screenshots, or documentation verbatim.

4. Envato License terms

Your CodeCanyon purchase grants you an Envato Regular or Extended License. The license that controls how many sites you can install on is the Envato license, not GPL-3. GPL-3 governs the source code; the Envato license governs distribution rights.

5. Attribution

We don't require attribution but we appreciate it. A "Powered by Chauffeur Booking" link is welcome but not mandatory.
